2006 HP OpenView Awards of Excellence for Europe, Middle East and Africa |

HP Software is pleased to announce the first-ever HP OpenView Awards of Excellence for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The 2006 awards honor EMEA customers using HP OpenView management solutions in effective and innovative ways to deliver business value. Let us know what you’re doing to drive the success of your business or organization.
Registration for the 2006 awards is now closed, please check back for the 2007 awards!
Applications will be accepted until October 28, 2006.
Winners will be notified the week of November 6, 2006.
What achievements do the awards recognize?
One Outstanding Achievement award and one Distinguished Achievement award will be given in each of the following three categories:
- Excellence in Delivering Value to the Business: To what extent has IT been aligned with business goals? What types of business or IT services does your organization provide? What insight can IT now provide to the business that wasn’t possible before? And what has been the specific impact?
- Excellence in Capitalizing on Change: How has IT become more efficient through automation of processes and tasks, and how have the HP OpenView products and services enabled this greater efficiency? How has a more automated IT environment improved business performance?
- Excellence in Achieving Business Continuity: What mission-critical business processes does your hardware and software infrastructure support? How has IT optimized availability and performance of the infrastructure? What has been the resulting business impact?
Please note: Entrants need not identify an award category—the judging panel will allocate awards based on information provided in the application.
Who can submit a nomination?
We encourage all HP OpenView customers in EMEA to submit an application today. Eligible customers are those using HP OpenView products including AssetCenter, ServiceCenter and other former Peregrine-branded products.
What’s in it for me?
The awards also offer you the opportunity to be recognized for your accomplishments within your own IT organization, with your business leaders and industry peers.
Winners of Outstanding and Distinguished Achievement will receive:
- Recognition at HP Software Universe in Vienna, Austria, December 12-15, 2006. Winning implementations will be highlighted during the opening Keynote presentation and during Business Sessions in the form of a pre-produced video. Honorees will be recognized at a special reception.
- One complimentary 2006 Software Universe pass per company
- A custom-engraved award plaque
In addition to the above, Winners of Outstanding Achievement also will receive:
- An evaluation of IT performance and a business case demonstrating the value of IT to the business, authored by an independent industry analyst firm
- Two complimentary passes per company to next year’s Software Universe event
- A €1,000 charitable donation to a non-profit organization of the winner’s choice
- A personalized gift for each member of the winning team
- An award ceremony on the company site
How are winners selected?
An independent panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
- Measurable improvement in efficiency, quality, and value of IT to the business
- Demonstrated use of best practices
- Creative application of people, processes and technology to ensure successful project outcome
- Lessons learned that can be shared with other HP customers
Consideration will be given to project scale, heterogeneity of the IT environment, depth and breadth of HP OpenView solutions, and integration of functions and tools, including 3rd party technologies.
